The BactiZapper Infrared Microsterilizer uses advanced infrared heating technology to rapidly sterilize laboratory instruments without the need for open flames. Its asbestos-free ceramic core reaches temperatures up to 815°C (1500°F), allowing complete sterilization of microorganisms in just 5–7 seconds.
Designed for safe and efficient operation, the ceramic heating element is enclosed within a perforated stainless steel guard chamber that helps protect users from accidental contact with the high-temperature core. The compact design makes the BactiZapper ideal for use in both aerobic and anaerobic chambers, as well as crowded laboratory workspaces.
The unit is well-suited for sterilizing platinum inoculating loops, needles, glass tube pipette mouths, and a variety of metal or borosilicate glass instruments. Because it operates without an open flame, it provides a safer, cleaner sterilization method with no spatter or aerosol generation.
