Oppen Identification Markers

Oppen is an innovative marking solution specifically developed for laboratory animal use, addressing the limitations of standard stationery products. Designed with animal welfare in mind, Oppen utilizes safety-tested inks that have been validated through acute oral toxicity studies.

Engineered exclusively for research environments, Oppen is suitable for marking the tails and skin of mice and rats, as well as ears and surgical sites. Its gentle application provides a less stressful alternative for both animals and handlers.

Available in five distinct colors, Oppen enables clear identification across a range of strains, including albino and pigmented mice such as C57BL/6.

Ideal for short-term identification, markings should be refreshed every 3–4 days. Ink durability may vary depending on strain and individual animal characteristics, and color appearance may differ under varying lighting conditions.

Oppen Identification Markers are available to be purchased as single markers or in packages of six.

Please note: Oppen Pink Markers contain Rhodamine 6G which may affect fluorescence applications, while Black, Light Blue, Violet, and Green do not contain this substance.
