	Patented packaging design causes the tubing to have only one point where it bends so the needle end remains stationary in the patient, not like "coiled" brands.

1. Open the package and remove the needle and tubing
    
2. Gently pull the tubing free of the keyhole notch in the safety guard
    
3. Remove the needle cover and insert the needle in the patient
    
4. Before removing the needle from the patient, slide up the safety guard so it is touching the back of the wings of the needle
    
5. Gently press gauze over the wound before removing the needle
    
6. Once the needle is removed from the patient, grab the tubing between your three middle fingers and your palm and hold the safety guard between your thumb and forefinger
    
7. As the needle is pulled from the patient, the safety guard may be slid up over the wings by extending your thumb while holding the tube stationary between your fingers and your palm
