These catheters are similar in design to our
rat vascular catheters and have the following specifications.
Modifications to the various lengths can be made with little or no
additional cost. Please inquire for more information.
Mouse Jugular Vein Catheter
The intravascular
tippet consists of SIL025 with a suture anchor point 13 mm from
the catheter tip.
The catheter body
consists of PE10 with a length of 25 mm.
The catheter port
consists of PE50 with a length of 15 mm attached perpendicular to
the catheter body. The external end of the catheter port is flared
and accepts
23g blunted catheter needles (N-23)
for access or 23g wire (23-PLUG)
for closure.
The
intravascular tippet consists of PE10 with a suture anchor
point 11 mm from the catheter tip and is tapered for easier
insertion into the carotid artery lumen.
The catheter
body consists of PE10 with a length of 25 mm.
The catheter
port consists of PE50 with a length of 15 mm attached
perpendicular to the catheter body. The external end of the
catheter port is flared and accepts

The intravascular
tippet consists of PE10 with a suture anchor point 9 mm from the
catheter tip and is tapered for easier insertion into the blood
vessel lumen.
The catheter body
consists of PE10 with a length of 45 mm.
The catheter port
consists of PE50 with a length of 15 mm attached inline to the
catheter body. The external end of the catheter port is flared and
accepts 23g blunted catheter needles (N-23)
for access and 23g wire (23-PLUG)
for closure.
Always use
sterile catheter materials (cold or gas sterilization only),
injection solutions and instruments.
The final
step of catheter implantation or use should be advancement
of the stainless pin a few millimeters into the port in
order to displace trace amounts of blood from the catheter
tip.
