Continuously adjustable speed control makes the VX-100 Vortex Mixer useful for a variety of applications from gentle mixing of samples to resuspending pellets. Two modes of operation can be selected. “Touch” control allows the VX-100 to be activated only when needed by depressing the sample head. When set to “on” the unit will operate continuously until switched to the off position.

The general purpose cup attachment supplied with the VX-100 accepts a variety of different sized tubes. Additional heads are available for mixing larger sample tubes, multiple microtubes and microplates. Heavy duty construction ensures a long life, and combined with the rubber feet, keeps the unit stable and prevents “walking”. A small footprint allows the VX-100 to be used virtually anywhere, including temperature controlled environments from 4° to 65°C.

Three interchangeable platforms (available separately) accommodate a variety of sample containers to make the Orbit 300 a truly multipurpose shaker. The flat platform, covered with a nonslip rubber mat, holds plates, dishes, boxes, etc. The microplate platform will accommodate up to four microplates. The remaining platform has spring loaded retaining bars that adjust to hold flasks, bottles, racks and other containers in place

Time and speed are set and displayed digitally. Values are shown on the large, three digit LED. The broad speed range allows the Orbit 300 to be used for gentle mixing as well as vigorous agitation.

The shaker housing is constructed of heavy gauge, coated steel to reduce motor noise and lend stability to the unit. This compact shaker can be used in temperature controlled environments making it ideal for cold room or incubator use.

The GyroMini is a smaller version of our popular GyroTwister. Its small size makes it ideal for mixing samples in blood and centrifuge tubes.

Like the GyroTwister, the GyroMini combines the motions of an orbital shaker and a rocker to produce a three dimensional action. The result is a thorough yet gentle mixing without foaming. Both the speed and tilt angle of this small shaker are fixed to provide the optimal level of agitation for mixing samples in small containers.

The GyroMini is supplied with a dimpled mat for holdidng tubes firmly in place. For temperature sensitive samples, the GyroMini can be used in a cold room.

GyroTwister™ GX-1000 3-D Shaker

The three dimensional shaking motion of the GyroTwister GX-1000 is extremely efficient, yet gentle, making this shaker ideal for general mixing as well as staining gels, hybridization and other applications. Shaking speed is continuously adjustable across a broad range. A nonslip rubber mat and elastic tie-downs hold samples in place during operation. A dimpled mat is included for holding tubes in place. Larger platforms and a stacked standard platform configuration are available to increase shaker capacity.

Permanently lubricated ball bearings on moving parts provide quiet, maintenance-free operation. The sturdy base lends stability to the unit. The GyroTwister is safe for use in temperature controlled environments, up to 65°C. Standard 30 x 30 cm platform and tube mat are supplied with the shaker.
 

ProBlot 25™ and 25XL Rockers

The Labnet Economy Rockers, ProBlot 25 and 25XL, are basic rocking platforms that have been designed for a long life and trouble-free service

Rocker speed is adjustable to provide the gentle motion required for staining fragile gels as well as the more vigorous action necessary for washing blots. The rocking movement is fixed at ±7º.

The platform surfaces are covered with nonslip rubber pads to prevent objects from moving during operation. Elastic tie downs are available to secure in place bags, boxes, tubes and other containers. The platform assemblies pivot on permanently lubricated ball bearings for quiet, maintenance-free operation. The ProBlot 25 platform measures 28.9 x 20.3 cm, while the ProBlot 25XL platform is slightly larger at 30 x 30 cm. For increasing the work area without sacrificing valuable bench space, a second platform can be stacked on the first.

The ProBlot 25 and 25XL Rockers can be used safely in temperature controlled environments up to 85°C. Their low profile and compact size make them perfect for use in small incubators.

Both speed and degree of tilt are adjustable across a broad range to provide the exact level of agitation required for all types of samples. The rocker is equipped with a 2 hour timer that can also be set for continuous operation

The heavy duty motor and sturdy rocking platform can support loads of up to 10 pounds. Closed loop, solid state speed control ensures that the rocker operates at constant speed regardless of voltage or load fluctuations.
