Specifications:  Port Length  35-40 mm

Intravascular Tippet Length:  80-90 mm
 

Procedural Overview:  Intrathecal Catheterization

Skin incision sites:  Catheter insertion site:  Dorsal neck, between base of skull and first vertebra, approximately 1 cm; Catheter externalization site:  Dorsocranial skin puncture via 18 gauge needle.
 

Durotomy site: Cisterna magna.
 

Intravascular catheter tip location: Lumbar region of the spinal cord.  Stylet must be removed after placement.
 

Catheter fill/lock solution: Artificial CSF.
 

Skin incision closure: Catheter insertion site: 9 mm AutoclipsÒ; Catheter externalization site:  cyanoacrylate wound glue.
