Spectrafuge Mini Centrifuges are ideal for quick spin downs and microfiltration. Each unit is supplied with a 6 x 1.5/2.0 ml rotor and adapters

for 0.5 and 0.4 ml tubes as well as a rotor that will hold 2 x 0.2 ml strip tubes, such as those used for thermal cycling. Maximum speed for the mini centrifuge is 6000 rpm, corresponding to 2000 x g in the six place rotor. Each unit has an on/off switch allowing the user to stop the motion of the rotor before opening the centrifuge lid. A new lid hinge design incorporates a stainless steel pin for durability. The small footprint allows the Spectrafuge Mini Centrifuge to fit on even the most crowded bench, making it a truly personal unit.

Spectrafuge 24D Digital Microcentrifuge

The newest member of the Spectrafuge family, the 24D, features precise digital microprocessor control. This centrifuge is loaded with features, yet has a list price low enough to make it the most economical high performance microcentrifuge on the market.
A newly designed, easy-access 24 x 1.5 ml rotor is supplied with the Spectrafuge 24D. This innovative rotor places the tubes on a plateau, where the user can easily grip their tops. The powerful brushless motor quickly accelerates the rotor to a maximum speed of 13,300rpm/16,000 x g. The controls are simple, consisting of only two knobs. The speed knob is used to set the speed in either rpm or g-force. Pressing the knob toggles the display between rpm and rcf. Turning the timer knob sets the time parameter, while pushing it starts and stops operation of the unit. The last run settings remain in memory allowing for repetitive centrifuging without resetting of parameters.	Easy access rotor
Extremely quiet and cool running, this unit maintains a small footprint. The Spectrafuge 24D is available in five accent colors.

The Hermle Z 300 series includes both the ambient Z300 and refrigerated Z 300 K centrifuges. Various fixed angle and swing-out rotors are available to process a variety of different tube types from 0.2 to 100 ml. These units are well suited for all standard blood collection, conical and microcentrifuge tubes as well as standard and deep well microplates. High speed and g-force make the Z300 series ideal for applications ranging from clinical to cell culture and molecular biology. Powerful, brushless motors quickly accelerate rotors to the preset speed. Braking is dynamically controlled to bring the rotors to a soft stop without disrupting fragile samples. Operation of the centrifuge may be timed, continuous or momentary. Microprocessor based control panels allow quick and easy programming. Operating parameters are set with convenient turn knobs while their values (run time, rpm, g-force and temperature) are shown on large digital displays. The rotor recognition system in the Z 300 series provides safety and convenience when different rotors are used. Each rotor is recognized at the beginning of a run and automatically limited to its rated maximum speed. In addition, by recognizing the rotor, the microprocessor can accurately calculate and display g-force during a run.

Ambient air circulates throughout the chamber of the Z 300 preventing significant rises in sample temperature. The powerful refrigeration system in the Z300K can maintain samples at or below 4ºC, even at maximum speed.
